Set along the riverbanks of Manamadurai in Sivagangai, the film follows a gullible elderly couple who inadvertently become entangled in the powerful political lobby surrounding sand mining. To protect them from a vindictive political system, a steadfast judge assigns an unassuming rookie police constable to guard them. What begins as an unlikely alliance soon blossoms into an emotional bond as the trio finds themselves caught in a dangerous struggle against powerful forces.
